One of the things I value most about my role is seeing the extraordinary contribution made by solicitors who volunteer their time, expertise and energy to strengthen our profession, and work towards better justice outcomes.   Across the Law Society's committees, members work behind the scenes to help shape policy, contribute to law reform, support best practice and ensure the profession's voice is heard on issues that matter. Their contribution often goes well beyond their day job and deserves recognition.   That's why I'm particularly pleased to see the continued recognition of our Committee Member of the Year Award, which celebrates outstanding service and commitment to the Law Society and the profession.   I encourage you to take a moment to nominate a colleague, mentor, committee member or even yourself for the 2026 Annual Member Awards.
