Hey friends! Annotation Templates are here, and accessibility is where we started. 🍤 Save an annotation once, then pick it from the list next time. Fill in the blanks and you're done. Zeplin comes with 9 built-in accessibility templates for heading, icon, button and so on. We went digging through usage data recently and saw how many of you are documenting accessibility in Zeplin. Then we got on some calls, and the story was always the same: there's a guidance doc somewhere, and designers retype their own version of it into every single screen. Accessibility got us here, but templates work for anything your team writes over and over — tracking events, animations, API endpoints. Curious what you'll use them for.

“Flag anything that might break in German localization.” “Check this design against our voice & tone guidelines.” “Make sure every empty state has a CTA.” These aren't default review categories we built, they're prompts you write (in fact, we use the second one a lot as the Zeplin crew). Figma Slots are now fully supported in Zeplin. 🕳️ Slots show up on hover as you inspect, and they’re listed in the right panel when you select a component.
