To our developer community in India 👋 To comply with evolving financial regulations, all Indian developers receiving payouts from international sales must complete KYC verification. This process is managed by our payments partner, BillDesk. The RBI recently announced a deadline extension to March 15, 2027, however, the requirements depend on when you started monetizing: 👉 Existing merchants (Dec 2025 and earlier): Your deadline to complete verification is extended to March 15, 2027. If your account is not verified by this extended date, your international sales will be paused. 👉 New developers (Jan 2026 onwards): This extension is not applicable. You must complete the verification process before you can sell internationally. ▶️ To get started, log in to your Google Play Console, navigate to Settings > Payments profile / Google Play billing, and click "Start verification" on the banner or if your verification application is already initiated, look for an email sent to your payments profile's primary contact from onboarding@billdesk.com with the subject line: "Verification required with BillDesk to receive payments on Google Play." This KYC verification process involves submitting several documents and potentially multiple rounds of verification, including on-site verification. We urge existing merchants to take this extension seriously and start your application promptly to avoid disruptions to your sales.
