Using the SAML 2.0 standard, you can configure single sign-on (SSO) for a number of cloud apps. After you set up SSO, your users can use their Google Workspace credentials to sign in to an app using SSO.

Use SAML to set up SSO for Coupa

Step 1: Set up Coupa as a SAML 2.0 service provider

  1. In the Google Admin console, go to Menu and then Security and then Authentication and then SSO with SAML applications.

    You must be signed in as a super administrator for this task.

  2. In the Set up single sign-on (SSO) with Google as a SAML Identity Provider (IdP) section:
    1. Next to Certificate, click Download and save the certificate.
    2. Download the identity provider metadata.
  3. Open an Incognito browser window, go to the Coupa sign-in page, and sign in with your Coupa administrator account.
  4. Go to https://{coupa-instance}/administration/security and replace {coupa-instance} with the URL that you use to access your Coupa account.
  5. Check the Log in using SAML box.
  6. Upload the identity provider metadata and the certificate that you downloaded in step 3.
  7. Click Save.
