CSSB is a joint initiative of four universities and six research institutes
Researchers from the Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison have discovered that a layer of cellular energy regulation lies in proteoforms — unique chemical variants of proteins. A new study published in Science Advances reveals how these proteoforms arise through the activity of AMPK, a protein complex that acts as the master regulator of cellular energy. Read more
